Gami Sushi in San Diego

4 stars for the quality of food. Sushi was fresh, rice to fish portion was good, price was good too.We went on Saturday night at about 7:15. To our surprise, it wasn’t busy. We were seated promptly. Service was decent. If it got busy, service could be slow from our past experience.

I simply do not imagine pass this quarantine without Gami Sushi, really good and nice sushi place. Best part is that you can order ahead online, all other places around does not allow that, you have to call or go and place the order.The sushi is the good quality and they have a great variety.The 4 star is because once we together the Yaki Udon and the portions was small, I mean in my measure was simply just not enough.

We got there with only four people and ended up waiting for 40 minutes to get our order taken even with calling the waiters. We then went up to order to go since we were done with waiting. We heard the waitress say to a man who ordered online that they can’t make one of their rolls because it takes “too long” and he left angry. We decided to order to the same lady who, understandably, had to take our order because their system was down. However, she ended up telling us that she can’t make our baked roll because it takes too long. We ended up leaving because this is the worst service we ever had and I am not one to write a scathing review. We left hungry and completely dissatisfied

They are doing a great during the pandemic. In and out quickly. I like their miso soup! :)

Great sushi. They have an awesome lunch combo where you can get 3 rolls and share between 2 people. Also, their sashimi salad is the best!

We recently moved into the area and started trying a few of the local sushi restaurants. Gami has been the best so far! Clean, fresh and delicious food, each of the 3 times we've ordered in the last 2 months. I normally order for pick-up, and every time the food has been ready and the service has been great! Highly recommend!

Super sloppy. My order was over cooked (hamachi Kama) and the sushi was mushy and gross. Emailed the owner to address my issue. They did not respond. I will definitely not be ordering takeout again nor dining in at gami. Super disappointing. Save your pennies and go elsewhere!!
